P&G Strikes Big Outsourcing Deal

2/18/2014
The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) enlists CenturyLink Technology Solutions, from CenturyLink, Inc., to help transform the way P&G internally procures and consumes IT services.

Expanding on a web-hosting relationship that began in 1999 when CenturyLink Technology Solutions operated as Savvis, P&G will now tap a wide range of CenturyLink's global IT outsourcing solutions in order to instill agility into its corporate IT strategy.

Under the arrangement, CenturyLink will offer hybrid IT infrastructure services through a consumption-based pricing model, expected to empower P&G employees to bundle and select the technology services they need, when they need them.

In addition, CenturyLink will provide P&G with access to technologies from its ecosystem of solutions from Cisco, NetApp, SAP and other key alliances.
In presenting P&G with a comprehensive IT strategy, CenturyLink devised a customized solution blending consulting, support desk and application services with cloud and managed hosting capabilities that aim to drive agility, flexibility and access to new technologies within P&G's IT organization.
