Seventh Generation Optimizes its Business and Sales & Operations Planning Processes

Seventh Generation Inc. (SVG) has selected the Exceedra Integrated Business Planning solution, including Trade Promotion Management and Trade Promotion Optimization (TPM/TPO) which will enable Seventh Generation to optimize their business and sales & operations planning processes to support the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

SVG is a brand of household and personal care products that help protect human health and the environment. Established in 1988, the Burlington, Vermont based company remains an independent, privately-held company distributing products to natural food stores, supermarkets, mass merchants, and online. Seventh Generation is a pioneer in corporate responsibility with a firm belief that its products are healthy solutions for the air, surfaces, fabrics, pets and people within a home–and for the community and environment outside of it.

The Exceedra Integrated Business Planning platform is expected to enable Seventh Generation to simulate trade promotion scenarios and business plans, facilitate better analysis through pre and post promotion evaluation, and enable more agile and better informed business decisions. By integrating with their ERP and demand planning systems, Exceedra will provide real time detailed visibility to the sales, finance, and demand planning teams improving collaboration and visibility in the S&OP process. The more accurate sales plans, including the base volume and incremental volume spikes integrated into the demand planning system, will improve the demand forecast.
