GS1 Germany Acquires SA2Worldsync GmbH

SA2 Worldsync GmbH, a global provider of global data synchronization and master data services, views its acquisition by GS1 Germany as a show of strength for the company and its growing global client base. GS1 Germany, the international service provider for identification, communication and process standards, increased its shares and is now the sole owner of SA2 Worldsync GmbH.

GS1 Germany, which owned 14 percent of SA2 Worldsync GmbH shares, acquired the remaining 51 percent from Pironet NDH AG and 35 percent from Agentrics LLC. As part of the agreement the source code license of the product information management system (PIM) was acquired from Pironet NDH, which will allow for further development of the data pool technology used by SA2 Worldsync.
