Last year marked CGT’s first Emerging Markets (EM) Forum and in one short year it has come a long way. At first, the content seemed foreign (excuse the pun). Now, we’ve gone from just breaking into the BRICs, to case studies deep within these regions, and even beyond. Case in point, Mondelez graces the cover this month with an initiative to help streamline regional differences, whereas, Clorox takes a measured approach to global investments, so as not to overextend itself. ConAgra Foods, Inc. gives us an in-depth interview, divulging imperative best practices from many regions, and Danone reveals the intricacies of approaching modern trade in one specific, complex market. As with any new venture (like moving into an EM or launching a new event), it takes a community to help all the moving parts fall into place.
